NAC Part-Time, Shuksan

We have an immediate need for a part-time NAC to fulfill evening and weekend shifts. There is potential to increase hours to full-time status. The selected candidate will not only possess the professional credentials for this position but will also have an innate ability to work compassionately with the elder population in which we serve.

Our approach to resident care is simple: we treat the whole person, not just the ailment. This means that our individualized care plans for residents incorporate top-quality rehabilitation and clinical care to address all physical symptoms, as well as mental stimulation, socialization, and support to address a resident’s emotional needs.


NAC Responsibilities

  1. Provide basic care to our population of elderly residents, assisting them in daily activities as required

  2. Provide residents’ personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom

  3. Provide activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals

  4. Provide adjunct care by administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments; applying restraints

  5. Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information

  6. Provide patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor

  7. Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records

  8. Maintain work operations by following policies and procedures

  9. Protect organization's value by keeping patient information confidential


NAC Skills and Qualifications:


  • Education: High school graduate, GED or equivalent. Has successfully completed and passed the state and federal licensing for a Nursing Assistant.

  • Experience: Prior work related experience with the elderly.

  • Licensure/Certification: WA state NAC license in good standing. CPR card.

  • Software and Equipment Used: Read, write, communicate in and interpret English at a functional level.

  • Above all else, the qualified candidate will provide our residents with compassionate and understanding bedside manner, while being proficient in nursing skills. The qualified candidate must be able to multi-task, possess a collegial work attitude toward colleagues, provide effective pain management and acute/critical care while promoting a safe environment.
